MEDELLÍN, Colombia – Aug. 23, 2025 – PRLog — For the final quarter of the year, Color de Cambio successfully organized a community-wide clothing drive under the theme “Cleaning Out Your Closet? We’re Here to Help!”—bringing together residents, expats, and supporters eager to donate their clean, wearable, and gently used items to individuals and families in need.
The initiative encouraged community members to give new life to items they no longer needed by donating unstained, tear-free clothing for men, women, children, and infants, along with a wide range of additional essentials. Donations included paired shoes, handbags, blankets, linens, towels, stuffed animals, and small toys, all of which will directly benefit families served by the Fundación Jóvenes Constructores de Paz, a youth-centered organization supporting the communities of Barrios Reposo 1, Reposo 2, and Dos de Mayo in Quibdó, Chocó.
Color de Cambio’s clothing drive reflects the organization’s mission to bridge communities through compassion, cultural connection, and meaningful support. With the participation of donors from across Medellín’s local and expat communities, the initiative not only gathered vital household items but strengthened the spirit of solidarity across regions.
“We are deeply grateful to everyone who opened their closets and their hearts,” said representative Keithea Baker from Color de Cambio. “These contributions will have a tangible impact on families in Chocó, providing comfort, dignity, and relief to communities that deserve greater support and visibility.”
All proceeds and collected items will go toward Fundación Jóvenes Constructores de Paz’s ongoing efforts to empower youth and uplift families through educational, social, and community-building programs.
