Featuring Georgetown University Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee and Big East Legend Ebiho Ahonkhai
MEDELLÍN, Colombia – May 26, 2026 – PRLog — Color de Cambio proudly hosted its Basketball Camp on May 22, 2026, bringing together young female athletes from across Medellín for a transformative day of basketball instruction, leadership development, & personal empowerment. The event featured special guest Ebiho Ahonkhai, whose remarkable journey from collegiate basketball stardom to Hall of Fame recognition served as a powerful source of inspiration for participants.
The camp was designed to provide young women with access to high-level basketball training while fostering confidence, discipline, teamwork, & leadership skills both on and off the court. Throughout the day, participants engaged in skill development sessions, competitive drills, mentorship discussions, & interactive workshops led by Ahonkhai & members of the Color de Cambio team.
“Having Ebiho join us for this camp was an incredible opportunity for our young athletes,” said Herschel Chalk, Founder & Executive Director of Color de Cambio. “Her story demonstrates what is possible when talent, dedication, & perseverance come together. More importantly, she shared lessons about leadership, resilience, & self-belief that will stay with these young women long after the final whistle.”
As a former Georgetown University standout, Big East Conference legend, and Hall of Fame inductee, Ahonkhai has long been recognized for her excellence on the basketball court and her commitment to uplifting future generations of athletes. During the camp, she emphasized the importance of education, personal growth, & pursuing dreams with determination.
“I want these young women to understand that basketball can open doors, but their character, work ethic, & belief in themselves will determine how far they go,” said Ahonkhai. “It was an honor to spend time with such talented and motivated young athletes in Medellín.”
The Basketball Camp is part of Color de Cambio’s ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for underserved youth through sports, education, leadership development, & community engagement. By connecting local participants with accomplished international mentors & role models, the organization seeks to inspire the next generation of leaders & changemakers.
